WWI Liberty Bonds Papa

During WWI Liberty Bonds were for sale to raise money to help finance the war, so Papa bought us some bonds at the Marine Bank in New Orleans. We were each given an egg-shaped chrome bank so we could continue saving money for the war effort. Money was scarce and we came up with a few nickels very seldom. However we managed to save a little and saved it in our banks. The war finally ended and the boys came back home (except one who died in training with pneumonia).
