|Pepere Jean Chrysostom
Pepere John Chrysostom Reulet died on June 10, 1896, at the age of 42. One of
his sisters had the measles and a very bad tooth-ache. He went to her house to
extract her tooth. A dentist came to Vacherie several times a year and left
some dental tools with Pepere to use in emergencies. Although he had been
exposed to it before, he had never contracted it. This time he got the measles
and died from complications that developed from the measles.
Very sad indeed,
